Baby on the Mind

I am almost 30, and I am trying to start a family with my wonderful husband of four years.  I am taking medication for a seizure I experienced over 5 years ago, and I am taking an antidepressant.  I tried to go off both medications, but I didn’t have as much success as I would have liked.  Both medications are at half the dose of when I started.  

I’m afraid that I won’t get pregnant.  I’m afraid that once I’m pregnant, my child might have difficulties.  I work with children who have disabilities, so my fears may be exaggerated because I do not interact with typically developing children that often.  

I am hoping to find some peace and calm by sharing my journey.
